The 7th edition of the NEXTGEN International School and Workshop, dedicated to Next Generation High-Efficiency Photovoltaics, will take place from 8 to 11 September 2026 at CaixaForum Palma, Mallorca, Spain.
The event is organised by IREC, coordinator of the PLATFORM-ZERO project, in collaboration with the RenewPV School. This year’s edition will focus on the theme “Integrated PV: from materials to applications”, addressing the latest developments in photovoltaic materials, devices, and their integration into a wide range of applications and hybrid solutions.
The Call for Abstracts is now open, with submissions accepted until 30 June 2026. The registration deadline is 6 August 2026.
Exploring the future of integrated photovoltaics
The 2026 programme will cover key topics related to the development and application of integrated photovoltaic technologies, including building-integrated photovoltaics, IoT applications, water splitting, photoelectrochemical cells, and other hybrid solutions.
The School will open with a series of Master Classes delivered by leading experts from academia and industry. These sessions will provide participants with insights into advanced research topics and industrial applications in the field of Integrated PV.
The programme will also include oral and poster sessions, offering researchers the opportunity to present their work and exchange with the international photovoltaic research community. Young researchers, in particular, are encouraged to submit their abstracts and take part in discussions around their PhD projects and ongoing research.
