The workshop held at Sustainable Places 2025 earlier this month brought together leading European projects to explore how technology, human-centric approaches, and circularity are shaping the factories of the future.
Five projects — RaRe2, RESTORE, MULTIMOLD, openZDM, and Platform-ZERO — showcased real-world advances toward resilient and sustainable manufacturing. Our partner AIT – the Austrian Institute of Technology – represented by Raphael Pickl, Machine Vision & AI Scientist – presented the latest progress from the Platform-ZERO project, highlighting how zero-defect digital platforms contribute to greener, more efficient production systems.
