The Platform-ZERO project was represented at the 2025 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit by its coordinator, Dr. Victor Izquierdo, who attended the conference to present the project’s latest research outcomes and engage with the international materials science community.
Held from 7–11 April 2025 in Seattle, Washington, the MRS Spring Meeting brought together more than 4,000 researchers from diverse scientific disciplines to promote interdisciplinary exchange and innovation. Hosted across the Summit at the Seattle Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Seattle, the event served as a key global forum for presenting cutting-edge research in both fundamental and applied materials science. Participants ranged from early-career researchers to internationally recognised leaders, including Nobel and Kavli Prize laureates, offering a unique environment for high-level scientific dialogue and networking.

During the event, Dr. Izquierdo showcased Platform-ZERO’s research to an international and interdisciplinary audience, contributing to discussions on emerging materials technologies and sustainable innovation. The meeting’s dynamic programme—including technical symposia, poster sessions, an extensive industry exhibition, and the newly launched Industry Track—provided valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, explore industrial perspectives, and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.
